Job Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair a wide range of defence and plant machinery and equipment at our service centre at Larkhall.
* Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal operational performance.
* Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new plant equipment.
* Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams.
* Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs and maintenance activities.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Participate in training programmes to stay updated with the latest technical developments.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to improve service processes and equipment reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in servicing and maintaining plant machinery or heavy industrial equipment.
* Relevant technical qualifications, such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues clearly to clients and colleagues.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to plant machinery and workshop environments.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and computer-based maintenance systems.
* Full UK driving licence is essential
* HGV Licence - beneficial
* Experience with LOLER and PUWER Legislation
