The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer located in Berkeley, MO.
Position Overview
As an Industrial Engineer, you will apply industrial engineering concepts and techniques to optimize products, processes, and services in alignment with program requirements. You will develop plant layouts, capacity plans, and workflows while evaluating new technologies for integration into production and service operations.
Position Responsibilities
* Apply industrial engineering concepts, approaches, and techniques to meet program requirements.
* Develop plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations, and workflows.
* Evaluate new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
* Design, maintain, and optimize the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
* Conduct work flow design and analysis.
* Develop models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide summary analysis and metrics for leadership and customers.
* Research, design, develop, improve, and implement processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower costs, and improve quality for large-scale systems integration and asset utilization.
* Develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
* Create product assembly instructions and standardize assembly practices.
* Prepare operations plans, including work statement analysis, budgeting, capacity and constraint analysis, and production changes to meet technical goals.
* Support execution planning using project management, planning, and scheduling practices.
* Provide production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility, and recovery planning support.
* Ensure compliance with industry safety, design standards, and ergonomic guidelines.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the listed locations.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
* 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
* 5+ years applying production engineering principles.
* 5+ years in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
* Experience with capacity planning, manpower forecasting, line balancing, and lean manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
* 7+ years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
* Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
* Experience partnering with key functions in an integrator/lead role.
* Passion for continuous improvement.
Additional Information
Level 3: typically 5+ years' related experience or equivalent with advanced education.
Level 4: typically 9+ years' related experience or equivalent with advanced education.

Salary range: Level 3: $86,700 - $117,300; Level 4: $102,850 - $139,150.
