Healthcare Support Workers – West Lothian Palliative Care Team
We are recruiting Band 3 Health Care Support Workers to support the delivery of palliative care at home as part of the West Lothian District Nursing Service. This is a community‑based role that involves traveling between patients across West Lothian during each shift.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care to patients and their families during their palliative journey.
* Carry out simple dressings and deliver other essential elements of care as delegated by the nursing team.
* Support patients and families to remain at home with dignity and comfort.
Work Hours & Travel
Part‑time contracts ranging from 16 to 28 hours per week. Shifts are 4 hours long and operate 7 days per week, with key working times 09:00‑13:00 and 18:00‑22:00. An expense reimbursement scheme is available. A driving licence and access to a car are essential. The role requires working without direct supervision.
