HGV Class 2 Driver – New Passes Welcome – Bristol People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our clients growing transport operation in Bristol and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, temp-to-perm opportunities and full training support for both experienced and newly qualified drivers. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Truck Driver, Skip Driver or Multi-Drop Driver. Rates of Pay: • £16.50 – £33.00 per hour Shift Pattern: • Monday – Friday • 04:00 – 14:00 Benefits: As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates (PAYE – holidays accrued separately) • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • Temp-to-perm opportunities • New passes welcome • Full training and ongoing support • Immediate starts available • Company discounts after qualifying period • Staff canteen • Free on-site parking • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties: As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include: • Safely operating and driving Category C vehicles • Delivering and collecting skips from customers as directed • Completing pre- and post-vehicle safety checks in line with company policy and legal requirements • Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting defects promptly • Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery records • Communicating effectively with dispatch teams, customers and site staff • Adhering to all road safety and transport regulations • Assisting with handball duties where required Essential Skills: To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver you will need: • Valid UK Category C Licence • Valid UK CPC Card • Valid Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsement codes • Good communication and customer service skills • Reliable, professional and punctual attitude • Good understanding of road safety and compliance • Reasonable level of physical fitness due to handball duties Desirable Experience: • Previous commercial driving or multi-drop experience • Experience handling large or bulky goods • Good customer interaction and service skills Training Provided: • Full industry-related training provided • Ongoing support and development throughout the assignment Apply: If you are looking for work as an HGV Class 2 Driver, apply today or contact our recruitment team for more information.
