Join Our Dynamic Team as a Field Engineer - Tech Team
Be the onsite presence for Babbles Tech delivery, providing exceptional levels of service and support on client sites. Carry out both proactive and reactive site visits, including contracted maintenance days, high-priority outages, and assisting with project works and installations. Keep customer downtime to a minimum by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving IT issues, while working alongside other teams in the business.
Accountabilities and Deliverables:
* Complete technical site visits, including break-fix priority incidents, installing and deploying new hardware and software, scheduled contracted health check days, site audits, and documentation.
* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve IT issues efficiently to reduce downtime.
* Assist project teams with migrations and deployments.
* Act as the point of contact for technical issues and queries on customer sites.
* Collaborate with support teams to resolve faults on customer infrastructure.
* Maintain high standards of documentation and case recording, ensuring all details are current and accurate.
Core Competencies:
* Confident working independently in customer-facing environments with strong communication skills (written and verbal).
* Proactive, determined, and persistent problem-solving attitude.
* Eager to learn and willing to research faults or refer to documentation.
* Experience troubleshooting hardware (Laptops, Desktops, Servers, Peripherals).
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Experience with Server Virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware).
* Understanding of networking (WAN, LAN, IPv4, VLAN) through routers, switches, firewalls.
* Support experience with Windows Server 10/11 and macOS via RMM tools.
* Experience with Microsoft Cloud products (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure, Entra ID, Intune).
Additional Desirable Skills:
* Ubiquity, Cisco Meraki, and Sophos experience.
* Antivirus management (deployment, configuration, troubleshooting).
* Mail filtering systems experience.
* Cloud backups and disaster recovery experience.
* Previous MSP or onsite technician experience.
* Positive attitude towards out-of-hours work and travel.
Qualifications:
* Experience with Server Virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware).
* Networking knowledge (WAN, LAN, IPv4, VLAN) with Ubiquity, Cisco Meraki, and Sophos experience beneficial.
* Microsoft Cloud product expertise.
* Support experience for Windows Server 10/11 and macOS via RMM tools.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
