This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, friendly team which delivers practical support as part of Warwickshire Children and Families Early Support offer. This is a highly rewarding role which requires work with families and schools on a helpline to enable children in Warwickshire to access their free school meals (FSM) entitlement.
About the Team and Role
You will be working alongside the Warwickshire Family Information Service (FIS), who provides information, guidance and signposting about a wide range of subjects for families and professionals working with families in Warwickshire. They are also responsible for the administration of free school meals (FSM) in Warwickshire.
This role is to support the delivery of the FSM service through working with data, checking eligibility and answering queries from parents, carers and schools via our helpline and inbox. You will also play a crucial part in implementing national policy change around FSM for the 2026/27 academic year to ensure as many eligible children as possible are able to access their FSM in Warwickshire.
Key Skills and Experience Required
We are looking for a highly organised individual with experience in data input and interrogation, who is also confident in talking to members of the public and passionate about supporting services that make a real difference to children and young people. Experience using Synergy software is also beneficial, although not essential and training will be provided.
