Senior Scientist – Immune Modulation

We are seeking a Senior Scientist, with a special focus on Immunology, Pharmacology and High‑throughput Screening to join the Antibody Pharmacology team in our Large Molecule Research department. This is a fixed‑term contract ending in December 2026.
The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent experience in one or more relevant areas of research, including Immunology, Pharmacology, handling of primary immune cells and enrichment methods, flow cytometry and immunophenotyping, cytokine profiling, high‑throughput imaging, arrayed screening including assay development and automation.
In this role you will:
* Independently design and execute experiments with cell lines and/or primary cells, using a range of tools and assay technologies
o Isolation and culture of primary immune cells
o Cell‑based assays
o Flow cytometry, surface and intracellular staining & analysis of flow cytometry results
o Immunoassays using multiple technologies (ELISA, HTRF, AlphaLISA, MSD, etc.)
o High‑throughput imaging
o Arrayed screening, including assay development and automation
* Interpret experimental results and author reports & presentations
* Communicate results, progress and bottlenecks to project teams and stakeholders
* Conduct basic data analysis and apply principles of statistics
* Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
* PhD or degree (or equivalent) plus relevant experience in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or similar disciplines
* Ability to independently design and execute experiments
* Experience of cell culture and aseptic technique
* Experience in flow cytometry and high‑throughput screening
* Data analysis & interpretation
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills
* Adaptability to changing business needs and learning new techniques
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Understanding of basic concepts in drug discovery
* Familiarity with automation/liquid‑handling technology
* Experience with functional assays, imaging technologies and handling of primary immune cells
