Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated ALN Classroom Support Assistant to provide 1:1 and general classroom support to pupils aged 3–19 within a warm and inclusive Specialist School in Penarth.
The school supports children with a range of complex needs, including autism and communication difficulties, and prides itself on its supportive and nurturing environment.

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience supporting children or individuals with SEN
* Be aged 18 or over
* A background in care, support work, or supporting individuals with SEN would be needed for this role.
* Bring a positive, proactive, and compassionate mindset with a genuine passion for helping young people thrive
* Have strong behaviour‑management skills, including the ability to implement and de‑escalate strategies effectively
* Be confident in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and ALNCO
• A commitment to boosting pupil engagement, confidence, and emotional wellbeing

✅Requirements
Must be willing to obtain (at your own cost) or already hold the following. Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
* Level 2 Safeguarding training
* At least two professional references covering 24 months
