Job Description
* Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including data entry and reconciliations.
* Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
* Process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable tasks.
* Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other compliance requirements.
* Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
* Provide support during audits and resolve queries as needed.
* Maintain organised financial documentation and filing systems.
* Collaborate with other departments to address financial queries and issues.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
* Experience in basic accounting tasks such as Accounts Payable (Purchase Ledger).
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* A proactive approach to resolving financial discrepancies.
* Knowledge of VAT processes and compliance requirements.
* The ability to work collaboratively within a finance team.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A desire to develop further within the accounting and finance field.
