An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Frailty Support Worker on Dewi Ward in Glangwili General Hospital. The post offers the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in caring for frail patients. Dementia and frailty are a growing challenge within healthcare, and we, as healthcare professionals, are at the forefront of providing the dignity, support and care that people deserve. The aim of the role would be to improve the patient experience. You would be expected to promote the patients' independence by focusing on their mobility, nutrition and hydration in order to maintain and maximise their functional ability.
The post holder should hold an NVQ level 3 in Health or equivalent. They will need to demonstrate that they have good communication skills and that they are an excellent team player as well as being able to work alone. They will be expected to work alongside both the nursing and the therapies team.
The post will include working 7 days a week, with no night duty. There are various full or part‑time hours available.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers
* Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services
