We are looking for an experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Redbridge. This role involves supporting children with complex needs, and we are specifically seeking candidates who have proven experience in a similar setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide consistent, high-quality support to children with a range of complex needs.
* Work closely with the class teacher to implement and adapt individual learning plans.
* Support children with communication, sensory processing, emotional regulation and social development.
* Use your existing knowledge and skills to respond effectively to challenging behaviour and emotional needs.
* Liaise with SENCOs, therapists and families to ensure joined-up support.
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEND
* Understanding of a range of special educational needs (e.g., autism, global developmental delay, sensory processing issues).
* A patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
* A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
