Job Title: Project Manager – Street Works / DNO Location: Dorset Salary: £45k - £60k (Flexible) Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Permanent / Contract Available We’re currently working with a leading utilities and infrastructure contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in street works and DNO (Distribution Network Operator) projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on project manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and is confident managing multi-utility or power distribution projects. The role offers long-term progression within a well-established company operating across major UK frameworks. Overview Key Responsibilities Oversee the delivery of street works and DNO-related infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. Manage permits, traffic management coordination, and compliance with NRSWA. Liaise with DNOs, local authorities, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery. Monitor and report on project progress, budget, and risks. Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards. Lead and coordinate on-site teams and subcontractors. Requirements Proven experience delivering street works and DNO projects. Strong knowledge of NRSWA and local authority permitting processes. SMSTS certification (essential). Current DNO Authorisations (highly desirable). SSE CAT 1, 2 & 3 qualified Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. Full UK driving licence. Desirable Background in HV/LV electrical infrastructure. Worked with UK DNOs such as SSE, UKPN, or WPD. First Aid / Project Management certifications (e.g., APM, PRINCE2).
