We are seeking a dynamic and creative Year 5 teacher to join our thriving school community in Nottingham from January 2026. What we are looking for: QTS with recent KS2 teaching experience, preferably with Year 5 experience Ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that challenge and inspire pupils High expectations for behaviour, attainment, and personal development Strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues Collaborative, reflective, and organised approach with a willingness to contribute to whole-school initiatives Passion for promoting learning beyond the classroom through creative activities, enrichment, and community engagement Key responsibilities: Teach a Year 5 class full-time, fostering curiosity, independence, and a love of learning Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND Track pupil progress effectively and use assessment to inform next steps in learning Support and contribute to the wider school curriculum and initiatives, including cross-curricular projects and extra-curricular opportunities Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing, confidence, and resilience Engage with parents and carers to build strong partnerships supporting pupils’ learning and development What we offer: A supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking leadership team Opportunities for continuous professional development and career progression A school culture that values innovation, creativity, and teacher wellbeing Motivated pupils who are eager to learn and engage with their education A chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners in Nottingham How to apply: Please upload your most up-to-date CV.
