Family Solicitor
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: Up to £85,000 (DOE)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (initial on‑site expectation)

A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Family Solicitor with 5+ PQE to join a well‑established, highly regarded Cheltenham‑based practice with a strong reputation for quality private client work and a collaborative, forward‑thinking culture. This firm is known for combining traditional client care values with a modern, commercially astute approach. With steady growth across its core departments, the firm is investing further in its Family offering and seeking a senior lawyer to play a key role in its continued development.
Key Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of a high‑quality privately funded caseload and play a key role in the department’s future growth. The role will involve:
* Handling a varied caseload of private family matters including divorce, financial remedy, private children disputes and cohabitation/TOLATA matters.
* Advising high‑net‑worth and business‑owner clients on complex financial settlements.
* Managing sensitive matters with discretion, professionalism and exceptional client care.
* Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements and representing clients in court proceedings where required.
* Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the strategic growth of the Family team.
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 5+ PQE in Family Law.
* Have strong technical knowledge across privately funded matrimonial work.
* Demonstrate excellent client care skills and the ability to manage complex, high‑value matters.
* Show commercial awareness and confidence in building and maintaining client relationships.
* Be motivated to play an active role in the continued growth and development of the department.
