Engineering Maintenance Planner needed for a large manufacturing site in North Birmingham. Monday to Friday 8.30 – 4.30. Permanent contract offering a great salary, benefits and career development prospects.

The Engineering Maintenance Planner will assist with the coordination of the site maintenance planning in respect of providing a cost effective, reliability centred, predictive and preventative maintenance work order system. This will require responsibilities for the coordination of the agreed maintenance plans for the future weeks, creation and updating of site wide scheduled maintenance activities, appropriate and timely scheduling, creation, and use of Bills of Materials (BOMs) including the allocation of parts and materials to planned maintenance tasks. The appointed will also assist in the production work order generation and management. To support the Engineering Planner with his responsibilities.
Engineering Maintenance Planner - the role:
* Plan and coordinate day-to-day and shutdown maintenance activities to optimise resources and minimise downtime.
* Manage engineering schedules, backlogs, and future plans across all disciplines, chairing weekly planning meetings.
* Use SAP PM/BI/MRS/MM to control maintenance planning, work orders, inspections, costs, and asset data, ensuring compliance with preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
* Work closely with engineering, operations, and support teams to improve asset reliability, coordinate repairs, and maintain accurate equipment structures, BOMs, and maintenance records.
Engineering Maintenance Planner requirements:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering discipline
Engineering planning experience including engineering shuts
Ability to challenge and influence peers and other managers
