Mechanical Supervisor Location: London SE19 Start Date: 16/02/26 Rate: £28.00 per hour Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm (10 hours paid) Enhanced DBS: Required Overview We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical works within a live educational environment where active construction works will be taking place. The successful candidate will supervise contractors on site, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to the school. This role requires strong contractor management experience and a proactive approach to Health & Safety in a sensitive, live environment. Please note: The site is not close to public transport. Own transport is highly recommended. Free parking is available on site. Key Responsibilities Site Supervision & Contractor Management Supervise and coordinate subcontractors during active mechanical installation works. Oversee HVAC and associated construction activities. Ensure compliance with programme, drawings and specifications. Manage works carefully within a live school setting. Health, Safety & Compliance Maintain strict H&S standards in line with RAMS and CDM regulations. Ensure contractor compliance at all times. Conduct toolbox talks and daily briefings. Manage site safety in an occupied environment. Quality, Programme & Reporting Monitor installation quality and standards. Track progress and report risks or delays. Maintain site documentation and daily records. Provide weekly progress reports and support commissioning and handover. Skills & Experience Required Strong HVAC / Mechanical Building Services background. Proven experience supervising contractors on active construction sites. Experience working in live or sensitive environments preferred. Strong understanding of UK construction regulations. Ability to read technical drawings.
