Brief Job Description: TheSupport Workerwillsupportvulnerable people in their own homes / flats providing support to individuals in a person-centred way which includes various activities i.e. shopping, cooking, assisting with personal care and administering medication. You will need tomaintaincare andsupport as detailed within the individual care plans and risk assessments. Record keeping and communication skills are essential to ensure effective teamwork to meet peoples needs. You will be required to undertake such training and development as necessary from time-to-time be develop your career. Ideally you will have previous experience working within a residential care or supported living setting with vulnerable people and hold NVQ Level 2 in care or an equivalent qualification. However, applications from candidates with no experience who can demonstrate the caring qualities and values that we seek in our staff are welcome. So, are you caring? Inspirational? Optimistic? TheSupport Workerwill have a responsibility todeliverour servicein accordance with standards agreed with the Registered Manager, Registered Provider, relevant regulations, and in line with accepted best practice. 37.5 hours per week, on a flexible shift pattern andthe occasional covering of vacant shifts. Experience is advantageous but notnecessary. A full programme of training will be offered to candidates who have the ability and enthusiasm to learn with a view to obtaining relevant QCF or equivalent vocational qualifications.
