Position Details
* Contract Type: Permanent
* Location: Soham, Cambridgeshire
* Salary: Up to £30,641.52 per annum (dependent on qualification)
* Specific Hours: 20:00pm - 8:00am (12-hour shifts)
Your Role
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the physical, social, and emotional care of the children and young people in our homes. Your responsibilities will include:
* Staying awake during your shift to ensure the safety and welfare of each child.
* Providing empathy and compassion during challenging night times.
* Engaging in activities and supporting bedtime routines tailored to each child.
* Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with our out-of-hours services.
* Being a positive role model for both colleagues and children.
What We’re Looking For
We seek enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Essential skills include:
* Ability to work as part of a team and bring energy to the role.
* Experience and knowledge of safeguarding children.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Organizational skills and the ability to plan and prepare effectively.
* A commitment to undertake a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare if not already held.
