Our business mainly focuses on food & grocery, and uniquely, we source & process most of the fresh food we sell through our own manufacturing facilities.
We’re recruiting for a high-performing Trading Manager to help our business continue to grow and succeed.
Ensuring our stores are fully stocked is key to a fantastic customer experience, which is why this role is so vital to our success. The Trading Manager’s job is to provide the best availability and standards possible for our customers across all departments, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
Reporting into the Store Manager, you will also:
* Lead the team to the highest standards and strive to ensure the best shopping experience for every customer who walks into our store
* Plan and organise current promotions or in-store events
* Listen and respond to customer feedback and react accordingly
* Ensure market-leading product availability across the store
* Collaborate with other Managers in store to lead a supportive and performance-driven department
* Manage all personnel routines, including scheduling, absence, performance, and talent development
* Deliver training to ensure the team has the capability and confidence to perform their roles
* Motivate and lead colleagues across various departments
* Identify and develop talent within the department
* Build effective relationships with other operational departments
* Lead colleagues to work purposefully, delivering outstanding performance against all relevant targets
* Take a leadership role within the store
* Plan resources thoroughly
