The Role
We are looking for a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver to join our Manufacturing site in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent position offering £29,724 per annum and working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern - days.
On Offer:
* £13.61 per hour (including shift allowance)
* 12 hour shifts, 42 hours per week
* 4 on 4 off - 06:00 and 18:00
* Paid last Friday of each month.
Please note there are no public transport routes to our factory; therefore, you will need your own transport!
The Role
To ensure processes are followed within the warehouse to ensure products are receipted in, stored, and dispatched to the agreed standards and loading plans, while keeping our colleagues safe.
Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver:
* Pick and assemble loads ready for dispatch. Load outgoing vehicles with finished goods as detailed on the loading despatch paperwork.
* Unload all incoming vehicles as required and rack away the stock following acceptance and GRN generation.
* Receive, organize, and store inventory.
* Work safely at all times, ensuring the safety of yourself and colleagues. Follow health and safety policies and procedures, raising concerns through appropriate channels.
* Ensure FLT fleet is fit for purpose by completing starter documentation and reporting damages following the proper procedures.
* Maintain general housekeeping and practice good hygiene in line with GMP requirements.
* Undertake training and assist in training colleagues when required. Act as a buddy for new colleagues and provide guidance where necessary.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
* Experience in a similar role within warehousing.
* FLT / Counterbalance or reach truck experience is desired (must provide certificate or license), but training can be provided.
* A good standard of education demonstrating literacy and numerical skills, able to communicate and report clearly in English.
* Overtime up to 12 hours per week: time and a half.
* Overtime after 12 hours per week: double time.
