We are recruiting for a Structural Design Engineer to work in our Building Engineering Team in the Milton Keynes office.

What you’ll be doing
* Produce structural designs of residential and mixed‑use projects of varying scale and complexity, working individually or as part of a design team.
* Conduct site visits and assist the project lead with structural surveys, investigations and repair schemes for structures from fires to foundation issues.
* Independent management of projects.
* Financial responsibility for own projects.
* Assist in the preparation of fee quotations and invoicing.
* Work in collaboration with senior stakeholders and clients.
Who we’re looking for
* Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering; ideally working towards chartership with ICE, IStructE or equivalent.
* Experience in the design of foundations, masonry, concrete (including detailing), steel and timber structures to Eurocodes.
* Experience in the residential market including traditional construction as well as framed structures.
* Preferably experienced in structural investigations of low to medium rise residential structures.
* Familiar with relevant design software, such as Tekla (Tekla Designer and Tedds) and ideally AutoCAD/Revit.
* Ability to make decisions and work independently.
* Good communication skills.
