Care Assistant (Days & Evenings) – Alexandra House
Location: Alexandra House, Ludlow
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 37 hours per week
Shifts: Day shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) & Evening shifts (3:00 PM – 10:00 PM or 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
Rota: 5 days on, 2 off | Alternate weekends | Breaks included

About Alexandra House
Alexandra House is a welcoming 20-bed residential care home in the heart of Ludlow, proudly supporting older adults since 1987. Now part of My Choice Healthcare, we provide care for those living with dementia, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and short-term respite needs. With peaceful gardens and a warm, homely atmosphere, Alexandra House is a place where residents and staff feel safe, valued, and at home.
Your Role
As a Care Assistant, you’ll be part of a dedicated team delivering personalised, compassionate support. Duties include:
* Helping residents with personal care, washing, dressing & toileting
* Supporting mobility, routines, and daily activities
* Assisting with mealtimes and ensuring good nutrition
* Offering companionship and reassurance throughout the day
* Monitoring wellbeing and recording changes accurately
* Helping to maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment
What We’re Looking For
* Naturally caring, patient, and respectful
* Reliable, professional, and adaptable
* Team player with good communication skills
* NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (desirable) or willingness to work towards
* Previous care experience helpful but not essential – full training provided
