Do you have construction site experience? Perhaps as a labourer or skilled tradesperson? This is a perfect opportunity to bring your skills from site to classroom! As a Skills Practitioner at our adult training centre, you will support staff and students, helping to deliver high‑quality, hands‑on learning experiences. You will liaise with colleagues and external partners, support learners to reach their goals, and ensure workshops are safe, well‑organised, and fully equipped.
This role is fixed term until 31 July 2026.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and promote excellent health & safety practices within workshop sessions
* Order, organise, and issue stock and supplies to keep sessions running smoothly
* Assist in workshop preparation
* Provide constructive feedback and support to students
* Help learners develop practical skills and confidence
Qualifications
* Confident in supporting and guiding learners through practical tasks
* Level 2 qualification in Bricklaying or Plastering
* Some industry experience in the construction sector
