Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit an excellent Cover Supervisor to work within a fantastic secondary school in the Liverpool area starting as soon as possible. The strongest applicant will have confidence in Mathematics, English and a subject of their choice whilst also working well with children. Your role would be to ensure that learning continues smoothly using pre-prepared materials from the teacher. It is essential to maintain classroom order and support students' progress.
Cover Supervisor
* Location - Liverpool, L12
* Type of work - Temporary
* Start date - As soon as possible
* Pay: Paid to Scale
* Hours - 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring that students stay on task.
* Delivering Pre-Set Work: Supervising students as they complete work left by the teacher. Ensure that the planned lessons are carried out.
* Supporting Students: Assisting students with any questions or difficulties they might have with the work, ensuring that everyone understands the tasks.
* Behaviour Management: Enforcing school policies regarding student behaviour and dealing with any issues that arise.
* Record Keeping: Documenting attendance and any noteworthy incidents during the class.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Excellent behaviour management
* Previous experience working with young people.
* Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
* Provide two professional references.
