GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Primary Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Nottingham. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential classroom support, assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, and help create a positive learning environment for children.
Role Overview:
As a Primary Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing. You will provide one-to-one or small group support, encourage positive behaviour, and help children to build confidence in their studies.
As a Primary Support Assistant, you will:
* Support teachers in delivering lessons across the primary curriculum.
* Provide targeted assistance to pupils, including those with additional needs.
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
* Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
* Assist with classroom management and organisation.
* Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for Primary Support Assistant:
* Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting.
* A genuine passion for supporting pupils’ learning and development.
* Strong communication, patience, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
