Biosystems Team – site based in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire or Wythenshawe in Manchester
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our head office in Hertfordshire for a confident, outgoing, and people-focused individual to join our Biosystems team. This role would suit a recent graduate in Marine Science, Aquatics, Aquaculture or a related subject, or someone with a natural interest in aquatics and a strong, engaging personality. A relevant degree is desirable but not essential — full product training will be provided.
This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people, building relationships, and proactively engaging with customers, while developing commercial and technical skills in a supportive team environment.
The Biosystems team are world leaders in water filtration systems, LED lighting, and advanced lighting control solutions. We serve a diverse range of sectors including Aquatic Retail, Coral Reef Research and Restoration, Aquaculture, Public Aquariums, R&D Institutions, Shellfish Holding & Depuration, and Agriculture (Pig, Poultry, and Insect Farming). Our work is varied, technically interesting, and offers excellent long-term career development.
About the role
This is a customer-facing, sales-support role with a strong emphasis on relationship building and proactive communication. You will work closely with customers, the senior sales team, and internal departments to support sales activity, manage enquiries, and help identify new opportunities within our existing customer base.
A key part of the role will be making outbound calls primarily to our existing customers — not cold calling — to build trust, strengthen relationships, understand customer needs, and uncover potential sales opportunities. Confidence, enthusiasm, and a warm, approachable manner are essential.
You will also act as an important link between the Biosystems department and other teams such as Marketing, Production, and Accounts, helping ensure smooth internal communication and a great customer experience.
Full training will be provided, with ongoing support and development.
