We have partnered with a dynamic and forward-thinking firm committed to providing excellent accountancy and business services to a diverse client base. Our client is now looking to recruit a talented Business Services Assistant Manager to join their growing team, playing a key role in servicing clients, managing a team, and supporting the delivery of high-quality accountancy services.
The Role:
As a Business Services Assistant Manager, you will oversee the efficient delivery of services within our Business Services Department, which is divided into two key divisions: Outsourcing (bookkeeping, management accounts, and VAT services) and Limited Company Services (preparation of Limited Company Financial Statements). This position primarily focuses on Limited Company Services.
You will collaborate closely with the partner to ensure smooth service delivery, manage client relationships, and provide guidance and support to the team. The role also involves working on larger projects and managing your own portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Development & Knowledge: Maintain and develop technical expertise by attending relevant webinars, conducting independent research, and staying updated on technical developments. Present findings on challenging technical issues.
* Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop a highly effective team. Guide the team to work efficiently and uphold high standards.
* Client Relationship Management: Act as a key contact for clients, providing exceptional service and managing relationships professionally. Promote the firm and identify new opportunities.
* Financial Oversight: Regularly review work in progress (WIP), address overruns, raise bills promptly, and ensure billing processes are followed.
* Support & Development: Provide timely feedback to the team, support skill development, and be approachable for queries.
* Client Billing & Fees: Collaborate with the Partner on planning and executing client assignments, suggest appropriate fees, and ensure timely billing.
