Non-Executive Director & Chair of Finance, Audit and Risk Board Committee

As the UK's national governing body for gymnastics, we collaborate closely with our members to lead, support, and inspire the community to foster a bright future for the sport.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Board as a Non-Executive Director (NED) & Chair of the Finance, Audit & Risk (FAR) Committee. This role will become available in November 2025 upon the completion of the current Chair's term.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A recognised accounting qualification
2. Significant expertise in financial scrutiny, audit, assurance, and risk management
3. Strong commercial acumen
4. Previous experience on an audit and risk committee and/or as a committee chair
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the sustainability and strategic oversight of British Gymnastics by ensuring rigorous financial scrutiny, effective risk management, and robust assurance processes.

Role Responsibilities:
* Act as a Non-Executive Director (NED) on the Board of British Gymnastics
* Chair the FAR Committee and report on its activities to the Board
* Oversee financial reporting, audit processes, risk, and internal controls
* Promote high standards of corporate governance and enhance British Gymnastics' reputation
* Attend and prepare for Board and Committee meetings, engaging with members and stakeholders
