Our client, a reputable organisation in the engineering sector, is hiring for a Commercial Manager to lead and oversee all commercial activities within framework agreements and project packages. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a fixed-term contract, supporting high-value projects and fostering strong client relationships.
What you'll be doing:
* Lead commercial activities related to framework agreements, commissions, and package orders.
* Manage and mentor the Commercial Team, providing guidance and support.
* Act as a commercial coach to project teams, ensuring consistent standards.
* Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-risk commercial issues.
* Oversee key commercial matters, interpreting contract documentation and identifying risks and opportunities.
* Draft, review, and manage contractual correspondence and subconsultant agreements.
* Develop and implement risk-based commercial strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
* Support financial teams with pricing, rate reviews, and financial inputs.
* Prepare quotations, variations, and submissions for compensation events.
* Build and maintain strong external commercial relationships.
* Ensure governance and compliance through structured record-keeping and contractual adherence.

* Proven experience managing commercial activities within engineering or infrastructure projects.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide teams.
* Excellent understanding of contract documentation and risk management.
* Ability to develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with project goals.
* Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
* Knowledge of commercial governance and contractual compliance.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience in commercial management or related field.
* Familiarity with contractual and legal frameworks in engineering projects.
