Royal Alexandra Hospital

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is full shift rota. This includes day, back and night shifts. Please note that there may be an expectation that the successful candidate is expected to work within another Emergency Department within NHS GGC.

We have a post available to start in August 2025 within the Emergency Departments in Clyde. These are the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) & Inverclyde Royal Hospital (IRH). The post is for a 12-month period and you will work between both EDs for the duration of your contract.

You will play a fundamental role in our teams gaining experience in all aspects of emergency and critical care. We will train you, develop your clinical skills and knowledge and help you achieve your future career goals.

You can rely on the expertise and assistance of our expert teams to enhance your skills and make a meaningful will be assigned an educational supervisor. You will become part of GG&Cs EM team driven to excel in Emergency Medicine.
