Claims Assessor
Salford Quays (M50 3SP)
Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours)
Monday – Friday – Shifts between 7.00am-6.00pm (7-3, 8-4 ,9-5 ,10-6)
Salary: £26,400

You’ll help us make health happen by:
Investigating, and processing claims received by providers (such as Hospitals, Consultants or Therapists) or claims received directly for our customers for a variety of Bupa products.
You will process provider and member claims according to the rules and processes in place, to ensure Bupa pay what they should first time, every time. This includes accurately documenting the progress of claims and investigating claims, aged debt and adjustments to verify they comply with Bupa’s products, policies and contractual agreements.
You will also Identify opportunities to remove failure from the process and take ownership for resolution or escalate if needed and collaborate in finding resolution. You will have a relentless focus on payment integrity and work within authority levels and regulatory requirements.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
1. Previous experience of claims handling or data administration is desirable.
2. Ability to make important decisions within agreed parameters and day to day decisions without referral.
3. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Positive attitude and self-motivation.
5. Ability to use Microsoft packages such as word and excel effectively.
6. Strong relationship management skills and ability to build networks of internal and external contacts.
