History Teacher
Location: Preston
Contract: Full-time

Rate of Pay: From £165 per day (dependant on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring History Teacher to join our dedicated Humanities department. The ideal candidate will bring passion, creativity, and strong subject knowledge to deliver engaging lessons that bring historical events and themes to life for our students.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high‑quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
* Use effective assessment to monitor progress and support student development
* Contribute to curriculum development within the department
* Inspire students to develop curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning
* Participate in school events, enrichment activities, and wider school initiatives
About You
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for History
* Ability to engage, motivate, and challenge students
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
* DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
