Stunning state of the art office in Birmingham with onsite amenities including a gym, nursery, café and coffee shop. As part of the apprenticeship you will attend South & City Birmingham College 1 day per week.
Salary
Starting at £17,500 per annum, increasing after 12 months of service.

About Us
We are temporary traffic management CAD design experts working within a variety of industries. We provide temporary traffic management designs for urban and rural roads, as well as dual carriageway and motorways across the UK using the latest industry software. We also provide vehicle swept path analysis, consultancy, RRRAP assessments, BIM/3D design and traffic modelling.
About the Role of Apprentice CAD Designer
This is a full time and permanent position. In this role you will gain a Level 4 apprenticeship standard, Civil Engineering qualification and will work with the design team to develop your skills and knowledge.
Typical day to day responsibilities include:
- Developing an understanding of the sector through observation and working closely with your mentor
- Producing and designing scaled and schematic temporary traffic management drawings
- Assisting with design modifications to facilitate operations
- Ensuring all temporary traffic management drawings are in accordance with guidelines
- Ensuring all paperwork is up to date
- Maintaining CAD models, drawings and associated files
- Working with lead designers to improve skills in BricsCAD and keep a consistent high standard of final presentation of temporary traffic management drawings
- Receiving continual Health & Safety and Lantra approved training to keep your knowledge and experience up to date
- Completing all training associated with the apprenticeship

Essential Attributes
- Suitable Level 3 qualification where required and GCSE Maths and English grade C/4 or above or equivalent
- Driving licence or taking driving lessons – road knowledge and awareness is paramount and you will be required to travel as part of your placement
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent level of written and spoken English
- Interest in AutoCAD or similar packages
- Excellent communication skills in dealing with clients and colleagues
- High level of accuracy
