Support Developer

This role will be for a Support Developer and will suit a person looking for their first step in the development sector or somebody with proven development experience whether that be self-taught or gained through education.
We’re all about collaboration, so we’re looking for a great communicator with solid interpersonal skills. A knowledge and expertise of current and emerging technologies and products is really important, too.
We believe that in order for you to do your best, we need to support your skill set. We look for a candidate who has to the appetite and attitude to learn as well as the knowledge to assist others in technologies they are more familiar with.
About the role
Working in an Agile based team responsible for delivering first-class software, our Support Developer will provide excellent customer service including investigating and resolving a broad range of technical issues.
You’ll be joining a talented team of developers designated to design, develop, test and deliver a myriad of ‘in-house’ software and web-based solutions.
The right candidate must be passionate about programming, eager to expand knowledge and proactively learn about the programming.
As a Support Developer you will be expected to support ‘in-house’ products, meaning you will be supporting more legacy items via 3rd line support (i.e. on the phone or face to face with the client)
Examples of responsibilities:
1. Analyse and resolve technical issues made by End Users by phone and via our Internal ticketing System
2. Identify and resolve defects in code
3. Work closely with the development team to identify and resolve issues in current applications
4. Assist in the management of internal development and testing
Any experience in the following would be advantageous but not essential:
5. HTML
6. CSS
7. Web Page Design
8. GIT
9. Knowledge of at least one Object-Oriented programming language, ideally C#
10. Understanding of database technologies such as T-SQL or MySQL.
