SEMH Specialist
The Education Network is currently recruiting a dedicated and resilient SEMH Specialist to support children and young people with social, emotional & mental health needs across educational settings.
The Role
As a SEMH Specialist, you will:
* Support pupils with SEMH needs, including challenging behaviour & emotional regulation difficulties
* Provide consistent, structured support both in and out of the classroom
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement behaviour & support plans
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement & progress
* Support pupils' emotional wellbeing & social development
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs, ideally in a specialist or alternative provision
* Calm, patient, & resilient approach to behaviour management
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice & positive behaviour strategies
* Excellent communication & teamwork skills
* Relevant SEMH, SEN, or behaviour support training is desirable
