Main Responsibilities
* Advising on County Planning matters, including applications and planning enforcement.
* Negotiating complex planning obligations on behalf of highway and education clients.
* Providing advice on a full range of Local Authority statutory Planning functions.
* Managing client files in accordance with Lexcel requirements and supervising other team members.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for you to be a qualified Chartered Legal Executive (with practice/advocacy rights), Solicitor or Barrister with the following:
* A comprehensive understanding of Planning law.
* An in‑depth understanding of public‑sector work; prior local government experience is not essential.
* Clear, confident and effective communication skills.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* Effective time‑management, prioritisation skills and the ability to work under competing pressures.
* The ability to delegate work to generate capacity.
