We invite applications for a Band 7 Systemic Family Therapist to join our thriving Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service (CYPMH) in West Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team and help establish the psychodynamic offer within the service, further strengthening our approach to supporting young people and their families.
Shortlisting for this vacancy is due to commence on 11 May 2026 and the proposed interview date is 3 June 2026.
Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments and deliver evidence-based systemic interventions for children, young people (0-18) and their families experiencing a range of mental health difficulties.
* Play a key role in developing and implementing the psychodynamic offer within the service, collaborating with colleagues from various disciplines.
* Provide support and contribute your expertise to the existing family therapy clinic.
* Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and other professionals.
* Contribute to ongoing service development and improvement initiatives.
All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction / initial training requirements of the role.
