£14.00 - £15.00 per hour + holiday pay
The role
As a Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will be responsible for;
* Triaging, accepting and actioning new referrals into the service including move in at the refuge and move on to resettlement service.
* Supporting an allocated caseload of clients, assessing the needs and risks of clients and delivering key working sessions.
* Completing DASH risk assessments and reviewing on a regular basis.
* Identifying and making appropriate referrals where necessary and working with relevant agencies in the best interests of clients and their children.
* Recording and managing anti-social behaviour and escalating where necessary.
* Delivering weekly resident meetings and devising groupwork.
The candidate
* Relevant qualification within Domestic Abuse or a relevant field.
* An understanding of individuals and / or families who have or are experiencing domestic abuse.
* Knowledge of working as part of a team as well as working on your own initiative and managing time effectively.
* Knowledge of devising support plans and completing and implementing risk assessments including DASH risk assessments.
* An understanding and experience of working in a trauma informed way to support vulnerable people.
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding principles and how to manage safeguarding concerns.
