Role Overview
We are recruiting experienced full- and part‑time Social Workers to support people with learning disabilities and/or autism across Lancashire. Your priority will be to ensure these individuals receive the support they need to achieve independence and a good quality of life.
Responsibilities
* Support adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to live independently in a place they consider home.
* Conduct holistic, face‑to‑face Care Act assessments, reviews and support planning using a strengths‑based approach.
* Ensure people receive the right support at the right time to achieve their optimum level of independence.
* Safeguard individuals from harm and provide guidance on positive risk‑taking.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registered or applying to register with Social Work England (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker.
* Must provide and be insured for a car for use in connection with the duties of this post.
* Post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
* Required to submit a disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
