About the role
Production Manager – Onsite, Glenrothes or Livingston. Permanent, 37hrs, full-time. Candidate will travel between both sites. Security clearance required: BPSS. Role responsible for manufacturing electronic and electro‑mechanical products; managing supervisors, associates and engineers; ensuring delivery, quality, safety and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Control and manage manufacturing budgets and labour hours.
* Develop and execute production plans to meet customer on‑time delivery.
* Apply Lean manufacturing concepts to manage high mix and shifting priorities.
* Drive process and quality improvements using RTX CORE.
* Own all safety procedures and risk management.
* Manage staff performance development.
* Act as Control Account Manager for the manufacturing function.
Experience and Qualifications
* Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
* Experience in Production Management, Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Operations.
* Experience in electronics or electro‑mechanical manufacturing environment.
* Experience managing budget versus bid.
* Proficiency in SAP or shop‑floor control systems.
* Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management System).
* Strong people‑management, organisational and communication skills.
