Student Engagement Officer
Salary - £36,363 - £40,777 (Grade 6)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract type – full time, permanent

The service inspires, challenges, and leads to further learning and employment for people in Wolverhampton and surrounding communities. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work as part of the student services team, leading student engagement.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a friendly, welcoming, and effective front-line service from reception and the Student Gateway.
* Lead the Customer Service Advisers and Admissions Assistant to consistently exceed customer expectations and enable recruitment and engagement of students.
* Implement robust quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives to monitor student enquiries and applications.
* Ensure learner support funds are recorded, processed, and monitored effectively.
* Handle student complaints and compliments.
* Lead on planning open days and recruitment events.
* Support the Careers Officer and develop a comprehensive plan to capture the Student Voice.
* Act as one of the Service Designated Safeguarding Officers, providing support to the Designated Safeguarding Lead and participating in safeguarding monitoring.
* Work from the Student Gateway at the City Learning Quarter with potential travel to other locations for safeguarding purposes.
Qualifications and Experience
* Enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience working in the education sector with disadvantaged, hard-to-reach, and vulnerable client groups.
* Educated to at least level 2 in English and Maths, Level 1 in ICT, and a Level 4 in Advice and Guidance or Career Development.
* A teaching qualification and degree-level qualifications would be desirable.
