Catering and Hospitality is a high achieving department in this extremely successful Further Education College. We offer qualifications to 16-18 year olds, adults and apprentices across levels 1-4. The department is very well resourced, including a commercial restaurant, and has excellent achievement rates. The department continues to explore all potential opportunities for growth to help meet the sector demand.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to lead the operation of our thriving commercial restaurant, which enjoys a growing reputation for excellence in food and service.
This is a unique opportunity to combine your industry expertise with a commitment to education. You will manage the day-to-day running of the restaurant while also teaching and mentoring our catering students in a real working environment.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead the commercial restaurant, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and customer service.
•Menu designing, keeping in line with departmental budgets.
•Supervise and support students in the kitchen, helping them develop practical skills and achieve their qualifications.
•Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to deliver outstanding learning experiences.
•Maintain a safe, hygienic, and professional kitchen environment.

•Proven experience in managing a professional kitchen or hospitality operation.
•A passion for food, service, and developing others.
•Strong leadership and communication skills.
•A relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
