You will be someone with a strong connection to the Heavitree and Whipton area and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of local people. You may already have leadership experience or this may be your first formal leadership role.
You will be fair, balanced and able to bring people together in an open and collaborative way. You will be confident facilitating conversations, listening to different perspectives and helping groups reach shared decisions.

Aboutthe role:
As Chair of the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board, you will act as a champion for Heavitree and Whipton and help shape a shared vision for the future of the area.
You will chair Board meetings, support inclusive and community-led discussions and work with partners and local groups to identify priorities and opportunities for improvement.
The role is strategic rather than operational. You will help ensure that decisions are transparent, fair and based on the needs and priorities of the community.
You will also act as a public face for the Board and support positive relationships with residents, community organisations, delivery partners and public bodies.
About the team:
The Pride in Place Programme supports neighbourhoods to develop community-led priorities and plans for the future. The programme encourages inclusive engagement and collaborative working to ensure local people have a meaningful voice in shaping decisions affecting their area.
The Chair will be supported by the Pride in Place Programme Lead, who will assist with administration, co-ordination, communications and engagement activity.
