About

Alexander Steele have partnered with a leading UK based integrated food supplier, specializing in high quality, innovative & specialty ingredients for foodservice, retail & B2B channels.


We are actively searching for a National Account Manager (NAM) to be a key commercial figure in delivering the clients' purpose & ambitious growth strategy, selling their products & brands direct to the wholesaler marketplace.


The Role

Reporting to the Head of Food Service - UK, the National Account Manager will bring proven experience in managing wholesale businesses, with a strong understanding of the complexities and dynamics within wholesale groups and distributor networks.


This customer facing role involves collaborating closely with both existing and prospective customers to develop and promote their portfolio, driving sustainable growth in the wholesale channel. You will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of Key and National Wholesale and Distributor accounts, consistently achieving agreed targets for sales volume, margin, net contribution. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across sales, marketing, and other departments to acquire new customers and unlock further growth opportunities with existing ones in the Wholesale sector.


Responsibilities

* Lead and grow key wholesale customers, including independent groups and foodservice end users linked to your accounts.
* Identify, pitch, and onboard new wholesale partners to unlock additional channels and customers.
* Secure new listings, expand distribution, and drive incremental sales across our product range and NPD.
* Deliver on sales targets and KPIs through strong account planning, execution, and customer engagement.
* Use data and market insight to inform strategy and shape account plans, delivering customer presentations and JBP’S, with product sector SWOT analysis
* Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across all levels within your customers' organizations.
* Understand customer’s NPD process and Product Offering to ensure relevant products & concepts presented.
* Attend meetings and make presentations to the wider Sales teams.
