Are you a CBT Therapist looking to make a meaningful difference to children and young people in Oxfordshire? We are seeking a qualified part-time CBT Therapist to join the expanding Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in Oxfordshire.
About MHSTs
MHSTs are designed to provide early intervention for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, working closely with education settings. The teams support pupils directly, help schools implement a whole-school approach to mental wellbeing, and offer timely advice to school staff.
Role Responsibilities
1. Assess and treat young people using evidence-based interventions.
2. Contribute to wider service development alongside senior colleagues, operational leads, and education partners.
3. Offer support and consultation to families, carers, and professionals involved in each young person's care.
4. This role involves a blend of face-to-face work and digital delivery.
5. Based in North Oxfordshire, South Oxfordshire, or Oxford City, with travel to education settings across your cluster.
6. Provide clinical supervision and support to Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs), both in training and post-qualification.
7. Support the use of CBT-informed approaches within the team through consultation and supervision.
8. Support service development, case management, and training for junior staff.
9. Assist schools with whole-school mental health approaches through consultation and collaboration.
10. Ensure clinical work aligns with best practice standards, contributing to audits and service evaluation.
