Our Kaikoura dealership is seeking an experienced Parts Consultant or an enthusiastic Parts Apprentice to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career in the industry working with premium brand, John Deere. Reporting to the Parts Manager who is based at our Rolleston site, you’ll be a key member of the Kaikoura parts operation where high service levels and inventory control is key!
Role
This role will see you:
* Engaging with customers in store, over the phone and by e-mail.
* Identifying, promoting and selling product solutions to our customers’ needs.
* Supplying our workshop technicians with parts required for servicing.
* Effectively and efficiently completing associated documentation.
* Adhering to relevant practices to ensure high health and safety standards at DNE.
About You
We’re open to either an experienced Parts Consultant, or a keen Parts Apprentice, where we’ll also support you to gain certification through MITO.
Apart from being eager to broaden your knowledge of John Deere Agricultural and Construction & Forestry equipment, you’ll also thrive working in a team environment and be flexible to adapt to any situation.
* An understanding of agriculture and machinery, with a keenness to broaden your technical knowledge as you grow into the role.
* A passion for exceeding customer expectations.
* Experience using IT solutions in daily activity, with an ability to pick up new systems quickly.
* A track-record of going the extra mile when required to meet the demands of the role.
* Existing knowledge of the sales process of parts is advantageous, but a willingness to learn is essential.
* Technical equipment knowledge &/or experience would be beneficial.
This is a busy and varied role that will cover our customer base across the region, providing a crucial backup to the premium John Deere product range we offer our customers.
