Role: Inventory Controller
Shifts: Monday–Thursday 7:30–16:00 Friday 07:30 - 13:00
Salary: £30,000
Location: Derby
Experienced Inventory Controller required to help drive the growth of a rapidly expanding rail industry business.
As an Inventory Controller, you will take full ownership of the kitting process, ensuring materials are accurately picked, issued, and recorded on the internal systems. Your work will directly support the production line by maintaining a smooth, reliable flow of inventory.
This is a hands‑on role at the centre of a rapidly expanding operation, ideal for someone who enjoys working with pace, precision, and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately pick, issue, and record materials through internal systems
Maintain a consistent and reliable flow of inventory to the production line
Resolve stock discrepancies and material shortages with a practical, problem‑solving approach
Work confidently with digital systems and adapt to new tools and processes
Collaborate effectively within a small, supportive team
What We’re Looking For:
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a small team and communicate professionally with transport companies
Adaptability to support the business as it continues to grow
A self‑starter who can work independently when required
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Prior experience in a warehouse or inventory controller role
Computer literacy and experience using systems to log inventory
Forklift experience is desirable but not essential
