Project Engineer - Water Mist Systems Nationwide Travel £60,000 - £62,000 Company Vehicle 25 Days Holiday Bank Holidays | Private Medical Scheme Are you a Project Engineer with experience in water mist systems looking for a new opportunity with a well-established company launching a new division? We are currently working with a market-leading company that delivers complex fire protection and security solutions. They design, supply, install, test, and maintain a wide range of systems, including sprinklers, gas suppression, fire detection, and integrated security. In this role, you will support the Project Manager to deliver Water Mist projects on time, to budget and in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Attend and contribute to project initiation and handover meetings with Sales, Design and QS teams. Create, update and manage the project programme. Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain accurate and organised central project records. Participate in internal Cost-To-Complete (CTC) meetings. Prepare and submit all end-of-project documentation, including O&M manuals, as-fitted drawings and certification. Ensure installers are fully briefed, competent, and qualified for all tasks. Raise PORs and liaise with approved Tier 1 suppliers. Support and manage on-site resources, resolving issues to keep the project on programme. Identify, record and resolve supplier non-conformities. Consult with technical specialists where required. Manage labour and material costs, including raising final accounts. Identify and invoice project variations. Conduct and record on-site inspections in line with scheduled EHS requirements. Deliver on-site toolbox talks. Promote and enforce adherence to all company health & safety procedures. Complete all associated H&S documentation, including RAMS, attendance sheets and reports. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Proven experience managing projects ranging from £5k-£2m within construction or fire protection. Strong track record of managing on-site labour and resources. Valid SMSTS and CSCS card. Knowledge of CDM regulations and management principles. Relevant qualification such as NVQ, HND, HNC or City & Guilds in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering. Experience producing project documentation, including RAMS, quality plans, project plans, CTC sheets and trackers. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
