Pay: Competitive daily rate (based on experience, PAYE)

We’re looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join a fantastic school in North Tyneside, supporting children and young people with additional behavioural and emotional needs.
This isn’t just about managing behaviour—it’s about building trust, creating safe spaces, and helping learners feel understood. You’ll work alongside teachers and therapists to support pupils who need extra care and consistency to thrive.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Using tailored behaviour strategies to support individual pupils
2. Providing 1:1 and small group support, both in and out of class
3. Offering emotional regulation support for pupils with anxiety or challenging behaviour
4. Supporting pupils who are struggling academically with clear, calm guidance
5. Creating a nurturing, inclusive environment that promotes positive engagement
What we’re looking for:
6. A passion for making a difference in the lives of young people
7. An interest in SEND and behaviour support—experience welcome, but not essential
8. Patience, empathy, and brilliant communication skills
9. Some knowledge of the national curriculum is helpful, but not essential
10. Right to work in the UK (we can’t offer sponsorship)
11. Enhanced child DBS on the Update Service, or happy to apply for one with us
