Talent Executive Bristol and Cardiff, BBC Studios Global Entertainment - BBC Studios
About Us
BBC Studios is a world-renowned, British creative driven content studio and channels & streaming business, with a reach that touches audiences in every corner of the globe.
Responsible for some of the most iconic and popular entertainment shows on the planet, BBC Studios UK Entertainment is a power-house of creativity and quality. The department, which encompasses Factual-Entertainment, Events, Entertainment and Music production, offers unparalleled experience and expertise. We create premium quality formats with extensive global reach and limitless potential: shows like Strictly Come Dancing, Glastonbury, Antiques Roadshow and the Coronation of King Charles III.
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Talent Executive with a minimum two years' track-record in a senior Talent role. The successful candidate will join the UK Entertainment Talent team on full time basis, to help discover and nurture key creative talent for some of the best loved shows produced by one of our foremost production hubs, Factual Entertainment Bristol and Cardiff. The role is particularly focused on recruitment for our well-loved and highly acclaimed heritage brands; programmes such as Countryfile, Antiques Roadshow, Bargain Hunt and Gardeners' World, which are produced out of this hub. You will also be required, on occasion, to support colleagues in the wider UK Entertainment Talent Team with recruitment for the broad spectrum of shows produced out of our Salford, Glasgow and London hubs.
Main Responsibilities
Part of the HR service, the Talent Team is the conduit between production and talent, working directly with programme-makers to strategically source, recruit and attract the best and most inclusive talent for the content delivered from BBC Studios.
A valued partner to the business, you will be required to:
* Work with the leadership team to support the strategic recruitment of talent, aligning it with the business plan for each genre.
* Working closely with the business, map markets, build talent networks and share knowledge about the external talent landscape.
* Create and maintain relationships with inclusive organizations and individuals who promote diversity within the television industry. This could include networking, representing Studios at industry events and organising our own.
* Manage the end to end hire process; from initial briefing to engagement through to offer stage, including sourcing, advertising, assessment, short-listing and negotiation.
* Demonstrate the ability to both excite talent about roles and hiring managers about talent.
* Collaborate with the wider HR division to ensure recruitment and HR guidelines and approval processes are known and understood by the business, evidencing a creative approach to problem solving.
* Work closely and collaboratively with the wider Production Talent Team, sharing expertise and knowledge of the industry and new creative talent.
* Collaborate with others on the wider BBC Studios' Global Talent Team on initiatives and/or projects as required
Are you the right candidate?
We welcome applications from Talent Executives with a minimum two years' experience in a senior talent role who can demonstrate an aptitude for sourcing talent and building teams on both a strategic and reactive basis. Whilst a track-record of broad spectrum cross genre working is highly desirable, what is key is that you can evidence a strong knowledge of the UK broadcast TV and content production market with a specific focus on the Factual Entertainment editorial production talent pool in Wales and the Southwest. Ideally you will have experience of recruiting in the following areas: short form film making and presenter led popular programming. You will also have a keen interest in increasing and championing diversity and inclusion.
